STATEMENT OF FUNDAMENTAL TRUTHS

The Bible is our all-sufficient rule for faith and practice.

1. The Scriptures Inspired

”and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is helpful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:15-17 (NIV) (1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21)

2. The One True God

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.” Deuteronomy 6:4 (NIV) (Isaiah 43:10, 11; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22)

The Adorable Godhead

a.)   Terms “Trinity” and “persons” as related to the Godhead.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19 (NIV) (2 Corinthians 13:14; John 14:16, 17)

b.)   Distinction and Relationship in the Godhead

f.)     The Lord Jesus Christ, God with us

“The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel – which means, ‘God with us.’” Matthew 1:23 (NIV) (1 John 4:2, 10, 14; Revelation 1:13, 17)
